Two Months Until K300 Race Start, One Veteran Musher Withdraws, One Female Musher Remains

As of Wednesday, the list of 19 mushers included Joar Leifseth Ulsom, Aaron Burmeister, and Victoria Hardwick, the only female musher signed up thus far. According to the latest info from K300, Jason Mackey has withdrawn from the 2018 race.

After One Month of K300 Registrations, Roster Half Full for 2018

Registration for the 2018 Kuskokwim 300 sled dog race has been open for a month, and so far, 13 mushers are signed up to compete. Among those on the list is last year’s champion, Pete Kaiser of Bethel, who has won the last three K300’s.

Kobuk 440 race coordinator Carmen Daggett says the first teams are expected to cross the finish line in Kotzebue sometime late Sunday or early Monday.
