Nome Cross Country team race results for Smokin’ Stampede meet

The Nome-Beltz Cross Country team attended the Chugiak “Smokin’ Stampede” meet this past weekend. Although the meet was originally scheduled to be held at Chugiak High School, inclement weather caused the meet to be moved to Anchorage’s Kincaid Park.

Lady Nanooks place second in Cordova tournament

Last weekend, the Lady Nanooks travelled to Cordova to play in the Copper River Rally Tournament. Also competing were teams from Glenallen, Palmer and Cordova. Palmer Junior Varsity place first, followed by Nome.

The Nome Cross Country team had a beautiful day for their home invitational meet Sept. 11. Dozens of Nomites took advantage of the weather and drove out to the Nome-Beltz Middle High School to cheer on the racers as they crossed the finish line.
