The Nome-Beltz Lady Nanooks started its volleyball season with a trip to Fairbanks the weekend of Aug 27-28.

Originally, the team was supposed to travel to Seward on Aug. 27, but they had to change plans the week before the game.  Instead of Seward, the Lady Nanooks played three games in Fairbanks. 

First, the athletes faced the Class 3A Eielson and beat them three to two on Aug. 27. They lost to 4A North Pole and Lathrop on Aug. 28. The Lady Nanooks played against Eielson at Ben Eielson Jr/Sr High School. They faced North Pole and Lathrop at Lathrop High School.  The game against Eielson and the game against Lathrop were streamed on social media.

The Lady Nanooks will next compete in Kotzebue on the weekend of September 10-11.
