Love Letters to Home: Jordan David of Huslia, Alaska

In this first installment of Love Letters to Home, we hear from Jordan David, who shares her pride in her hometown of Huslia, Alaska, and how her community remained resilient and connected during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This year, students at UAF’s Rural Alaska Honors Institute, or RAHI, had an opportunity to share what they love about the community they grew up in by writing a letter to home. In this new series, you will hear letters of love to communities all across the state from some of Alaska’s brightest students.

As the RAHI Class of 2021 now prepares to move to college and start the next big chapter in their lives, these letters provide a moment to reflect on who they are, where they have come from, and how they bring a bit of home with them wherever they go.
