The Nome Common Council will convene tonight, July 12, for the first of two regularly scheduled meetings this month.

In new business, the Council will vote on a resolution to authorize the office of the City Manager to spend up to $200,000 on repairs to the Nome Recreation Center boiler system. There is no unfinished business on the agenda.

City departments, including the Nome Police Department, the Nome Public Works Department, and the Port of Nome, will present quarterly reports to the Council.

The meeting will be preceded by a work session, which is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. The regular meeting will begin at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend both meetings either in person at the Nome City Hall or via Zoom. Those who wish to participate using Zoom can click here if using the internet. If using a phone, call 1-235-215-8782 with the code 061196.
