On July 14, 2021, KNOM will celebrate 50 years of broadcasting. The last half century has been a story of service and a story of a good host: a gracious audience that has welcomed the radio signal into their homes.

When anniversaries approach it is easy to look back and feel satisfied with past accomplishments, but there is still much work to be done. It is your sacrifice that propels the mission forward. KNOM is truly grateful.

Over the years, the mission has matured from an outsider to a friend and neighbor with deep roots in Western Alaska. The subtle ministry of KNOM as a daily Catholic companion has proven transformational – for those who serve, those who listen, and for each community the signal reaches.
