Stebbins’ total case count has reached 60 positive cases of COVID-19 since the pandemic began. Norton Sound Health Corporation confirmed six new patients with the virus late last night.

NSHC announced today that five of those individuals are all connected to the outbreak in Stebbins, which has been ongoing for more than a month. The regional health corporation says over 80% of the community has been tested at this point with the help of medical staff stationed in Stebbins.

Separately, a sixth individual tested positive for COVID-19 last night although NSHC did not disclose which community they are from. The latest patient received a positive result while traveling.

The Norton Sound now has a total of 169 COVID-19 cases. 28 of those are currently active while 141 are considered recovered.
