Nanooks Compete at 2018 State Championship for Division 2

The Nome-Beltz Cross Country team competed at the 2018 ASAA Division II State Meet held at Bartlett High School in Anchorage on Saturday, September 29. D2 is made up of all schools in Alaska with 500 or fewer students.

For the girl’s division, Bethany Daniel finished in 25th place with a time of 22 minutes and 6 seconds (22:06). Starr Erikson finished in 41st place, crossing the finish line at 22:44. For boys, coming in 40th place was Tobin Hobbs at 18:24 and Ben Cross in 58th place with a time of 18:59.

Other Nanooks who competed include David Miller, Ava Earthman, Alicyn Bahnke, Mallory Conger, Katelyn Tocktoo, and Daynon Medlin.

This was Nome-Beltz Cross Country’s last meet of the season.
