Alaska State Troopers have released information on the driver who was involved in a car accident near Teller on June 18th. 37-year-old James Bloomstrand was behind the wheel during a wreck that resulted in the death of an 18-month-old child on the Teller road.

According to Troopers, Bloomstrand was transported for medical treatment on June 18th, last Sunday, after his vehicle rolled-over, causing the male child to be ejected from the car. The child died as a result of his injuries.

After investigation, Bloomstrand was charged with driving under the influence and manslaughter.
