Sitnasauk CEO to Retire in May 2017

Sitnasuak Native Corporation Chief Executive Officer Richard Strutz is retiring.

Strutz made the announcement Friday, January 20th, stating his retirement will be effective on May 31, 2017.

With the announcement, SNC’s Board of Directors has approved a restructuring of management and will combine the roles of President and CEO into one position. With that decision, former SNC President Michael Orr has moved to a position as Senior Vice President – Alaska Operations. Orr will also take over responsibility for Sitnasauk Financial Services. Both Orr and Strutz will focus on recruitment efforts.

In a release, SNC Board Chair Bobby Evans shared his appreciation for Strutz’ work and commitment to the Corporation, businesses, and employees.

Strutz has served on the SNC leadership team for four years, first as CEO of the SNC subsidiary Sitnasuak Financial Services, LLC, prior to taking on the role of SNC CEO in April of 2015.
