Jacob Ahwinona was born in Death Valley, around Fish River, about 90 miles from Nome. He was interviewed for KNOM’s Elder Voices in 2009. Listen to his memories and lessons for the future.

KNOM’s Elder Voices airs every Wednesday at 11am and again at 6pm with an interview from our archive. Elder Voices: a window to the past, a door to the future.
