Finding Love on Story49

Kristin and Caitlin

“Inspiring stories about positive relationships”: that’s how first-year volunteer producer Kristin Leffler sums up the latest installment of Story49.

It’s the storytelling program Kristin’s helmed during her tenure at KNOM, and the stories Kristin’s talking about were a series of radio interviews focused on the simple theme of love, broadcast on our airwaves and released to the web around Valentine’s Day this year.

For these special episodes of Story49 — the “Love Series” — Kristin collaborated with fellow first-year volunteer Caitlin Whyte. The two (pictured together) shared the responsibilities of arranging for interviews with five local couples and editing them into episodes: each one a unique, heartwarming story of finding love in Western Alaska. They offer a glimpse of what makes our region so special, and we hope you’ll agree they’re a shining example of the wonderful things your support makes possible. Thank you!
