David Panepinto hails from Buffalo, New York, where he grew up and attended college and law school.
David spent four years as a prosecutor before deciding to fulfill a childhood dream to move to rural Alaska. With a recommendation from a Buffalo friend who’d spent time in Western Alaska, David chose Nome, and off he went. Three years later, David says, relocating to Nome has “turned out to be a wonderful impulse decision”; the town and surrounding area are “full of the open spaces, mountains, and frozen seas” he was looking for.
In his spare time, David enjoys backcountry snowboarding, long walks down East Beach, and, he says, “eating all the gluten he can find.”
You can hear Rainbows in the Dark with Mr. David on Mondays, 7–9pm, on KNOM AM/FM.
