Middle school students Payton Commack and Lauryn Jones traveled to the University of Alaska Anchorage campus to meet with 100 students from 16 other Alaskan schools.
In the fall, Nicholai will start at the University of Alaska Anchorage. His goal is to teach Yup’ik language and culture in rural Alaska.
The program would facilitate and fund professional development for current staff with the aim of “growing our own administrators.”
