“YOURS FOR WESTERN ALASKA”

(907) 443-5221

My name is Samuel Cross, but most call me Sam. I was born in Anchorage during the summer of ’98, around the time my father became an Alaska State Trooper. We moved here and there over the years occupying Kodiak, Anchorage, and finally Nome in the summer of 2011. Having graduated from Nome-Beltz High School in spring of 2016, I began my college career here in Nome at the UAF Northwest Campus that following semester. From there I jumped around; a year at UAA, a semester working at Portage Lake Covenant Bible Camp in Onekama, MI, and then I found Alaska Christian College.

Graduating in 2020 with my Associate’s Degree in Christian Ministry, I would later be picked up by Covenant Youth of Alaska joining their team as a Jr. High Ministry Coordinator working at Community Covenant Church in Eagle River. Now back in Nome, I have been hugely blessed with the opportunity of working here at KNOM as the Program Assistant. I love our region, and I am so glad to get a chance to give back to the region in this way.
