As more than $2.6 million is paid out to summer crab and salmon fishermen, NSEDC’s board met in August to discuss commercial fishing in Norton Sound and beyond.
Next week the North Pacific Fishery Management Council will meet in Nome. Meetings begin Monday June 2nd and run through Tuesday June 10th. All meetings are open to the public, except executive sessions of the Council.
Last week three of the state’s Republican candidates responded to questions from Alaskans. The forum aired on KTUU and hosted Fairbanks attorney Joe Miller, former Attorney General Dan Sullivan, and current Lieutenant Governor Mead Treadwell.
