Resolution on Taxi License Transfers Fails After Long Deliberations

“The City Council shall determine… the maximum number of taxi cabs to be licensed for commercial purposes within the City. It doesn’t say anything about the licenses becoming a property right,” Councilman Brown stated about the resolution to transfer three taxi licenses from EZ Cab to Mr. Kab. The resolution failed during Monday’s City Council meeting.
