Nome Kennel Club race delayed due to trail conditions

The three-day Nome-Kennel Club race scheduled for this weekend has been postponed to next weekend to reestablish trails after a week of storms.

The 12-dog maximum, five-dog minimum race will be held as part of the club’s spring carnival, to be held April 7 through April 9. The race has a $2,500 purse this year.

All participants need to be club members. If you wish to sign up, you must inform the club by April 6 at 5 p.m.

The skijoring race and kick sledding race will be held on April 8. Both races have a $500 purse. All participants must be club members.
