NANA to Distribute $1,400 in Trust Money to Every Corporation Elder

The NANA Regional Corporation has announced their Elder’s Settlement Trust (NEST) for 2017.

Yesterday, the Trustees of the NANA Trust voted to distribute $1,400 per elder. According to a NANA press release, the dividends are expected to be paid on or around February 14th. Elders who were 65 years or older by the last day of 2017 will be eligible to receive the Elder’s Settlement Trust money.

NANA’s region covers 38,000 square miles and eleven communities: Ambler, Buckland, Deering, Kiana, Kivalina, Kobuk, Kotzebue, Noorvik, Noatak, Selawik, and Shungnak, with Kotzebue being the largest hub of the region.
