A Savoonga Village Police Officer reported Harlan Kingeekuk missing four days after he left on a four-wheeler to visit an archaeological dig site. He never made it to the St. Lawrence Island site; his body was recovered Thursday evening with signs of apparent hypothermia.
An active search for Hamilton by Bethel Search and Rescue and well as by volunteers from the communities of Grayling, Holy Cross and Shageluk has continued into this week for missing 18-year-old Alfred Hamilton.

Late Monday night, Derek Sipary, Noel Tinker, and Thaddeus Riley were on a moose hunting trip when their boat struck a submerged log, causing them to be thrown from the boat. Riley was pulled under the water by the current and did not resurface.
