Sitnasuak Native Corporation announced their regular dividend for its members this week. All SNC shareholders on record as of Wednesday will receive $6.20 per share later this month.

Also included in this year’s dividends is a separate $500 bonus for elders who are 65 years or older, as of November 15th.

Chairman of Sitnasuak’s Board, Bobby Evans, said in a press release, “our 2017 earnings fund our Shareholder dividends as well as other Shareholder benefits, like scholarships, bereavement assistance, camp and home sites, heating fuel discounts, and apartment discounts.”

Regular SNC dividends and the Elders’ dividends will be distributed starting on November 29th. A final date for Sitnasuak’s 2017 annual shareholder meeting is yet to be announced.

Another Nome-based Native Corporation, Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC), will distribute their shareholder dividends of $3.75 per share next month.

BSNC’s total 2017 distribution is expected to be around $2.4 million.
