Elder Voices: Laura Paniptchuk

This week, Elder Voices takes you to Unalakleet for a conversation with Laura Paniptchuk. In 2009, then 79-year-old Laura shared memories of traveling by dog sled, berry-picking, and eluding a group of bears.

Many of Laura’s tales demonstrate her close bond with family members. “We did lots with our parents, long ago,” she says.

Hear the rest of Laura’s story on KNOM this Wednesday, March 29th, at 11am and 6pm, as we rebroadcast another show from our archive of Elder Voices: a window to the past, a door to the future.
