Impressions of Nome from a Visitor: A “Majestic” Place, Pauline Hovey Says

As a KNOM volunteer, you don’t have much time to take a vacation or leave the region, so in order to see your friends and family, sometimes, they have to come to you, in Nome.

My Mom, Pauline Hovey, did exactly that, and in this week’s audioblog, she and I discuss her travels, her impressions of Nome, and she asks me the tough questions. To find out more about Pauline’s life and how she got here, listen to the audio link above.

Thanks to the woman who raised me for visiting me in Nome this week, and thanks to everyone who listens to this week’s KNOM audioblog!

Great to hear that at least one other parent has made the journey up to Nome this year!
