2014 Financial Report

Pie charts and figures

We present our financial report for the 2014 fiscal year (July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014), with a summary comparison of expenses and income for fiscal years 2013 and 2014.

These summary figures match those presented to the IRS.

Year-over-year changes can be compared in the tables below, in which higher line-item values are shaded in light gray. Items that may not immediately be self-explanatory are program underwriting (sponsorships for on-air programming) and net volunteer time, which is the financial equivalent of the salaries KNOM would pay our full-time volunteers during their service year if they received full salaries, less a small stipend, food and utility allowances. Because of the way auditors count this volunteer-time donation, the line item is both an expense and a source of income; its net financial impact is zero.

Look for a companion piece in the January Static for further details on the components of our financial outlook and the external factors affecting them, as well as new initiatives underway to stretch your donated dollar.
