What is the state doing spending potentially $60 million dollars of public money on a private road built to private mines? Unfortunately this is happening all over the state. Our state legislature & Governor Parnell have spent hundreds of millions of dollars on studies for roads that have little public support, will likely never be built, and if built will benefit a few corporations. Meanwhile the contractors doing these studies are making millions of dollars. AIDEA has no reason to stop requesting funding for these projects because of their close ties with these contractors. Don’t get me wrong. AIDEA does some good projects, but they have to stop spending money on roads that don’t have strong public support.
