this week on Sounding Board:
Water Fluoridation

Thursday, October 6, 2011, 10:00 am

  • The machine used to fluoridate Nome's water supply is in disrepair, and the City Council is weighing whether fixing the machine - and continuing water fluoridation - is necessary.
  • Many communities in Western Alaska do not fluoridate their water, even though the CDC - and experts like ANTHC's Chris Fish (as heard in our Profile) - say water fluoridation has clear dental health benefits.
  • What do you think? Do you want fluoride in your city water supply? Why?
