| This logo was created by former volunteer Mary
Yanikoski to celebrate KNOM's 25th anniversary, July 14, 1996.
Christian symbols abound. The fish, of course,
represents Christ, and the Alpha and Omega sail is supported by a
cross.
The fishers represent the facts that many KNOM
listeners live off the land, and that KNOM staff are "fishers of men."
Dog sledding is prominent, as is the fury of
Alaska's weather, recognizing that the broadcast of weather forecasts is
life-saving.
The large figures represent the mission as a
peace maker, encouraging people of many cultures to live together in
harmony.
